Hello everyone!

We’re very excited to announce the launch of our ‘What Can We Do For You?’ Campaign. Part raising awareness, part information-gathering, this campaign asks the people of Plympton to tell us what they need from services in the area. If you’d like to fill in the form and have a chance at winning a Christmas Hamper, please follow this link:

It’s been a busy couple of months for Charlotte and I as we settle into our roles as the new Coordinators. We’re loving every minute. A refresher on recent activity: we’ve had a fascinating set of sessions called Transitions on the process of growing to teenagerhood in October, and Time For Parents, run by Patchwork Parenting, continues to run for a few more weeks. We were also delighted to host an Understanding Self-Harm session on the 16th of November, which went brilliantly – very positive feedback and 100% attendance. We continue to host free counselling sessions with Naomi on Tuesday mornings, and a Miscarriage Support Group the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm.

As well as our public sessions, we held our first PSA/Pastoral Support Networking meeting on Wednesday, which received  much positive feedback. The next meeting will be on Wednesday the 8th February. We also continue to host CAF and child protection meetings at the Hub, as a safe and secure independent environment. Home Start South & West Devon also contiunue to hold their Volunteer Prep Course – please contact them if you’re interested in volunteering for this excellent family charity.

We’re also pleased to welcome two groups to the Hub on a regular basis. First of all, Hazel Denley’s Fun Phonics sessions to the Hub on Friday mornings – please contact us, or Hazel through her Facebook page, if you’re interested in this session. Secondly, we have Frenchtastic and Spanishtastic on Thursdays at 11am and Friday afternoons at 1.15pm, beginning after Christmas (also available to contact via Facebook).

As always, if you’re interested in our services please don’t hesitate to contact us through phone, email or by connecting with us on Facebook.
